ALPHA LIPOIC ACID FOR RLS?

Has anyone ever taken alpha lipoic acid and noticed a great improvement in RLS symptoms? I'd like volunteers to help me to test it out. I have been noticing improvement, since my problem is inflammation.

I've tried it but didn't help my RLS. I suspect that if changing diet helps, then certain supplements will also help.Good luck with the experiment.

I take alpha lipoic acid regularly to reduce inflammation. It has never help relieve my RLS symptoms.

I have taken it as suggested by acupuncturist . It has not really helped.

It is usually coupled with Acetly L-Carnitine HCL. It is a powerful antioxidant. I use it daily, but it has no effect on my RLS insomnia.

I love ALA and seem to respond well to it. My only concern is that I read somewhere it can “pull” metals. I have a mouth full of amalgams. Therefore I don’t go too overboard with ALA.

Not a health care person whatsoever - this is just my own experience/opinion.

I’d love to hear Anyone’s response as well

Apha-lipoic acid may lower levels of thyroid hormone. Blood hormone levels and thyroid function tests should be monitored closely in people taking thyroid hormones who are also taking alpha-lipoic acid.
