Has anyone tried using a Circulation Maxx leg revitaliser doodah machine for easing RLS.
Mother-in-law loaned me hers but I am yet to try it as worried it could send my legs into a Highland fling / Riverdance overdrive. Anyone out there got any thoughts on this very Star Wars looking gismo?
If not, I am happy to be guinea pig and will update you on how I get on (or not) with it.
Cheers!

Mmm. It's that word revitalise.
If my legs could talk, I'm pretty sure they would say "We don't need revitalising you plonker, we need a rest.
" Restless Legs? Derrr.
That's my legs being rude you understand, not me.

Are you calling me a plonker Bear? 🤣🤣🤣
I take no offence seeing as it’s you but seriously I know what you mean.
I thought out of respect for the mother-in-law 🦖 and me being the perfect daughter-in-law 😇, I would give it a try as she wants to help but I thought the same as you about the old legs, the beggars need relaxing not revitalising.
My pal suggested a straight jacket type of thing but just for my legs, or one of those traction doodahs they use in hospital for broken legs. I’ve “de-friended” that one till she bucks her ideas up! She’s now in traction too, funny that🤭.
By the way, I sussed out the tv thing last night. I was up all night anyway so thought “what the heck, let’s use this time wisely”.
On a more RLS themed question, have you ever had Targinact prescribed? It’s been suggested as a good alternative to Methadone (which we can’t have for RLS in the U.K. but is supposed to be excellent for treating RLS).
I see my Neurologist in February so was going to ask if he would prescribe it.
Thanks again for your ever insightful and inspired comments, 🤣 who am I kidding 🤥.

No no, and thrice no.
My legs were calling me a plonker not you.
I've no knowledge of Targinact, but my intellectually superior other half probably does.
I'll ask her when I see her.

Thought you were turning into Shakespeare there for a moment!
Yep, I have to concur, you do seem to be a plonker 🤓🤯, sometimes!
Looking forward to receiving some sensible advice from your other half.
Cheers!

Okay CrazyLadyLegs. Here goes........
Targinact is liscenced for the second line symptomatic treatment of severe to very severe idiopathic RLS, after failure of dopaminergic therapy has failed. It’s an opioid analgesic for the treatment of severe pain. It’s a prolonged release tablet, which is taken twice a day. The tablets contain oxycodone, and naloxone. Oxycodone is an opioid, which is a strong analgesic. Naloxone is added to counteract constipation which is a side effect of opioids.
It’s normally only prescribed under consultant advice.
Phew!

Cheers Bear, I will use that info for Neurologist appointment.
Not that I plan to tell him how to do his job but sometimes a gentle point in the right direction can be very useful.
I read that it’s almost as effective as Methadone but can’t get that in Uk for RLS, shame because there’s no augmentation risk with a Methadone.
I do have quite severe RLS but I guess it’s in the hands of the professionals if they consider it to be beneficial to me.
Saw the limerick again, well done, I’m sure it will make a lot of people chuckle 🤭.
Hi Crazylady does it mention RLS on the box? I don’t think it would do any harm and - who knows - maybe it will help. I would certainly give it a try. Let us know how you get on.
Had a bit of a Google and it seems others have tried it but it made things worse.
I guess that’s logical as the last thing my legs need is to be revitalised, they manage that without any input from me. It’s the rest of the body that could do with revitalising after the 12 nights I have now gone without a modicum of sleep. Good job I managed 3-4 hours during one very lovely lazy day, oh what bliss 😴😛.
Think I will give it a miss and stick to bashing my legs with heavy objects, that’s my preferred method at the mo!
Hi, As I was experiencing all these sensations in my legs and body I bought one! This was two months ago and cost over a hundred pounds. I didn't feel any different and the crawling sensations have continued. With hindsight I believe I was so desperate to try anything back then that I bought one. It would be interesting to see if anybody else answers your post and what their opinion of them is. Chrys
Hi, CrazyLadyLegs - I tried a couple of years ago and while it didn't make it any better, it didn't help either. My partner uses one for diabetes and it's great for that.
Hi CrazyLadyLegs I've had RLS since i was 30, im now 41. In those years the only real relief ive had came from a very hot epsom salts baths. But the effect wears off around an hour after the bath. Or from taking a few nurofen plus, paramol or other opioid containing painkiller or anti inflammatory pill. I tried my mothers power plate vibration machine once but it made things worse not better which may or may not give some indication if your mums machine would work?.
Hi, well I would try the hot Epsom bath thing but I don’t have a bath! Don’t panic I don’t have hygiene issues, I do have a shower 🚿.
Reckon I will give the Revitaliser a miss. It seems likely that sending electric current to legs would energise them even more when I need them to take a chill pill 💊
I have severe total body restless leg syndrome. Can't find anything that works really well. I wear a NeuPro patch 8 millimeters, the largest I can get. I have a lot of sleepless nights.
