Have changed pills many times, first rope, then pramipexole, then gabapentine, and now horizant. I can’t sleep...take my pills as used, go to bed, and either left or right gets its normal 30sec-a-go-go. Maybe, I can sleep 2-3am for 3/4 hours, but it’s horrible.
Read many posts...maybe I need do try iron or magnesium?
Thanks!

Hi scott, yes, go back to basics first. And that is not taking iron or magnesium, but getting a blood panel to get your values first. Incidentally, ask for a full panel and also an assessment of b- vitamines and vit-d. And ask for a copy of the results, 'normal' is often not enoufh for us, people with RLS. Eg. ferritin should be high in the range, at least above 75 or 100. So here's your first next step.
Just to second what Lotte says, it's best to see if your RLS is due to any deficiencies before trying to correct deficiencies which you don't have
The last week, with either gabapentin or horizant, I will try to sleep but 90% of my right leg will hit me every 20-30 secs. Maybe I can sleep in 3/4 hours, and get 2-3 hours. With horizant, I take it at 7/8pm. What do I do at 2pm and my legs are jumping? Today my leg has been jumping since 1pm, just right calf.
