Sara, I've noted that your posts make it appear that you are a compassionate person which excuses any ignorance you may have.

Not that ignorance needs forgiving, that act is better reserved for anyone intentionally misinforming, if merited!

The dopamine agonist class of drugs include Pramipexole, Ropinirole, Rotigotine and Pergolide. These are their "generic" or "approved" names which any company that makes them must identify them as. Different companies give them different "brand" names.

There may be others I'm not aware of.

There are also other "dopaminergic" drugs e.g. Levodopa which act differently.

It's good that you have checked up on these, many people are fairly ignorant about the medications they take. This isn't a punishable offence, but it can lead to problems!

Hi Manerva Its not a case of appearing Im.compassionate. I am.compassionate We are all here for each other to air their concerns

Ive not critized anyone strongly to offend anyone to be fair. I just said I didnt know anything about it because Ive never taken it. Seems to me people on this site have & thetefore know more about it than me

Ive learnt something about this drug now

Sara you havent offended anyone that i know of. It was as Madlegs has said people were a bit shocked by your comment about dopamine. But i suppose now by you saying that comment has allowed you to learn about it, so a good outcome. :)

Hello Elisse2

Thanks for your reply - There should be no reason for them to react that way just because I said that. To be fair -I was a bit upset at their reaction towards me -I felt as if I wasnt allowed to not have knowledge about it despite it being mentioned virtually every day-

Yes it was a good outcome & now when I see it mentioned in virtually everyone's comments I'll know what it is , although Im entitled to not have knowledge of any drug mentioned -whatever the drug maybe main reason will be because I've never had it & to be fair I shouldn't have to google it to find out more about that drug (whatever the drug maybe -in this case dopamine

Sara - far better to speak out than stay dumb.

All contributions are welcome here ( well, most anyway 🥺)

I think there was genuine shock at your comment, but a good reality check for the regular contributors ,to realise what is actually perceived by the general public.

Good on you. And thanks.
