so I took my first dose of Buprenorphine last night. I started with 1 mg,that wasn't enough so I took the other half ( I have the 2 mgs) This stuff is amazing! Not a single jiggle of the legs! I'm going to drop to 1 mg tonight again and see.how that goes. I had to take half.a clonazepam for the, sleep. I haven't had any side effects, maybe because I was on hydrocodone before this. Hopefully it will keep doing its thing! Thank you all for recommending this.(and my dr. had no problem prescribing this)๐๐

Buprenorphine
Terrific!
It is miraculous. The first night I took 0.4mg I slept 8 hours. 3.5 years later and I sometimes forget I have RLS!.It really is time for extensive, gold standard trials in ALL countries.
All doctors should give this to their patients that suffer from rls. I brought it up to my Dr told him on was on this great forum and so many people have said this was a miracle drug. He was more than happy to let me try it. I wish more drs would be like him ๐
just a suggestion:
Rather than start a new post for updates that are closely tied to your previous post, just reply to yourself. That way the relevant posts are all linked together and easier to follow.
Does anyone know a good online private doc in the UK who would prescribe Buprenorphine?
Could you please post this question as a new post rather than a reply cos I would LOVE to know the answer too!!!
Professor Matthew Walker at Queen Sq, Dr Guy Leschziner at Guy's, Dr Robin Fackrell in Bath, Dr Chris Murphy in.Salford and Dr Jose Thomas in Abergavenny( but he can only prescribe to Welsh patients).Long waiting times, cost between ยฃ275 &.ยฃ350.
And you have to stand your ground and REFUSE dopamine agonists as they all still prescribe them. Apart from Dr Thomas.
I'm not convinced that Guy Leschziner would prescribe Buprenorphine. He's willing to give Targinact but stops short of Bup, despite acknowledging that it has 'helped some people'.
I'm delighted for you.
It seems really difficult to get this issued in UK despite NHS say it's available, finding someone will to prescribe is the problem
I'm so happy for you ๐, and no apparent side effects!
The only problem I'm having right now is a little bit of insomnia. I do ha e klonipin that helps me sleep . hopefully this will go away in time
