NO - DO NOT GO QUICK!

I am a big believer in cold turkey - you shorten the agony and get the new process kick started quickly. Cold turkey with opioids, if you are that way inclined, is the ONLY way to get off opioids - others may need to tip-toe down through the doses taking a much longer time (and imho increasing the overall level of suffering particularly of a mental nature).

Drugs such as Alcohol, Benzodiazepines and Dopaminergic drugs SHOULD NOT BE REDUCED QUICKLY doing this will greatly increase the suffering and can in some cases cause seizures and death as with the alcohol and benzos.

Hard core clean living and a detox can give you an illusion you are under more control of the withdrawal than you are making it an easier process.

Plus you can feel better by calling in here, getting support and understanding from others who have had to tread this torturous route.

Also you might feel better by posting something highlighting the crass hypocrisy of the Tories keeping Cannabis medicine illegal while they snort lines of coke paid for with the misery and sweat of the Columbian farmers, drug mules and the working class whom they short change so they can buy the very best Champagne to guzzle with their Bolivian marching powder! (not to mention sending loads to prison for cannabis possession while declaring with impunity across the media they routinely snorted Class A substances).

Could not agree more!!! The power and wealth of the Tory establishment keeps them to a significant extent above the law and they use their position to create legislation to disempower and exploit the working classes.Social control!!!!!And they create an illusion of democracy. And people vote for them!!! Arrrrgh!!!x

Democracy is a great idea - as long as you are rich enough to afford it! The rest of us live within a corrupt plutocracy.

Agreed. Democracy has never existed in the real sense

Nothing will "fast track " it. But, opioids are what the experts use to make the dopamine withdrawal less miserable. It is likened to withdrawal from cocaine, that is how bad it can be.

Depends very much on how long you've been on the Rop, and at what dose.

I couldn’t have got through Ropinirole withdrawal without tramadol and especially cannabis ( illegal). Cannabis allowed me about an hour’s sleep a day during the withdrawal. It’s hellish but you can do it. Stray strong.

You need to discuss what medications you will take once off Ropinirole - but get your serum ferritin checked first as you may be someone who can control the RLS if your levels are raised high enough.

They've been involved in tax evasion, drug use, rent boys and much much more while legislating against their very crimes for decades if not centurys - one law for the rich and another for the poor. It's replicated across the world unfortunately.

Getting off Ropinirole is like coming of cocaine, you will have horrible withdrawal. Weaning is the best way, however, I took a supplement that really helped cut me way back. Its from the UK, named: Quiet Legs. They actually work with you and give you a step down process. I am down to 1 .5 mg tablet a day. Plus I have had Cranial Sacral work, which I would recommend. I don't take the Quiet Legs any longer, however I am taking a Vitamin B supplement called Seratame. It's cheaper and is working. At least my symptoms are less frequent or severe and I've learned to deal with some of my triggers.
