I had a horrible & uncomfortable episode of RLS on saturday night- My fwinseet were boiling after a lot of dancing at a concert & although I cooled them down first in the sink, dried them I just put little of my cream & slept for about 3 hours or so -then I felt & witnessed it happening. My legs & feet kept moving like windscreen wipers & it felt like my blood bubbling all through them & the odd pain down my legs
I put more cream on my feet & legs & it soon did the trick - I slept the remainder of the night without incident
BOY WAS I RELIEVED!!!

I’m impressed that skin cream stops your RLS. I’ve never heard of that before. I know some people use Deep Heat or menthol creams which can cause distraction from the horrible creepy crawlies.
No I take Lamotrigine & Keppra When I first started them when I was about 9 I was on sodium valproate (aka Epilim) until I lived inOldham wit my then partner but changed to Lamotrigine because we were trying for a baby
You don't say what cream you use. I've found that Voltarol will calm mild rls, because it contains an anti inflammatory component, but it's not recommended to be used regularly, so it's not a permanent solution. The only permanent solution is to find the cause of the inflammation, which is most commonly hjigh blood sugar, leading to high insulin levels in the blood.
I find that E202 artificial preservative causes it for me defiantly. I'm now investigating whether high consumption of nightshades (chillies, potatoes, aubergine, tomato etc) might also be a cause.
The cream is called Balneum Cream Im sure I've mentioned this before to other members who have asked about it. Its important that I maintain that its not for everyone so if you decide to try it -you are doing so at your own risk It wouldnt be right of me to recommend it But personally speaking it suits my feet & legs
