PROOF THAT MADOPAR ACTUALLY WORKS .... (for me).

Over the past several months, I have begun to notice that my legs are starting to ache after I have been walking for a considerable amount of time. This afternoon it became much worse, to the point of actual quite serious pain. (And I can't for the life of me, believe how I could have been so astoundingly naive). As it has been quite a considerable amount of time since I've actually felt this type of pain, I feel it to be somewhat acceptable that it took me awhile to be able to recognise it .... it was definitely and unmistakably RLS pain, you guys all know the pain that I am inferring to. The searing flames of fire that are lashing at your arteries and veins with every single step. It's absolutely excruciating. And then the light bulb went on. I have been so proud of the fact that I have been able to successfully decrease my intake of Madopar down to 3/day. Obviously I need to increase it immediately. And the increase started tonight.

Hi Grany, I hope the Madopar DOES work for you.

It seems, from what you say that reducing it may have triggered the pain.

I have heard others mention experiencing pain caused by RLS, but never have I read it described. It sounds awful!

I consider myself very lucky that I've never experienced pain that I would associate with RLS.

I too have just experienced the pain you describe.

Just been to Disney world with the family and there was a lot of walking. The pain during and after was fiery, along with severe rls, to the point I was crying

It took a few hours for it to calm down with the help of painkillers

Madopar is the only med that curtails my RLS pain.
