It works for me!!

Hi, after suffering bouts of both back pain and RLS I invested in a Power Plate [looks like a treadmill] second hand off ebay and it was the best £25 I have ever spent in my life. Brand new they are self-assembly and cost about £200 for the full version but smaller units can also be bought, although I have not tried one of these.

I use it for 10 minutes most days and my back is measurably better and stronger. My only bout of restless legs since using it was stopped in its tracks by standing on the machine with my knees bent. By setting the vibrations to a high frequency the machine literally shakes the restlessness out of my limbs.

Many gyms have these machines so anyone could go for a try to see whether or not one of these could help, before actually buying one.

They are also useful for weight control & circulatory problems.

My house is only quite small and the machine does take up a bit of room but its benefits far outweigh this disadvantage.

Well and truly recommended!!

sounds like a plan once I am rid of Neupro and my broken limbs have recovered. Thanks for posting some positive news. Keep on plating....

Thank you very much! May I ask you to share the link for your model?

Hi, sorry not sure how to share a link but mine is the Crazy Fit Vibe Pro and there is an auction for one at the moment on ebay located in Crewe - starting bid is £19.99 with 2 days left..

Hope this helps

Thank you! And how much do you bend your knees? Just slightly or the more the better?

in reply toAlex2308

I just bend them a bit, but suggest that you experiment & see what position(s) suit you best. There's no need to stick to just one, move about a bit & do some stretches and leg extensions. I seem to remember reading that the maximum recommended use of these machines is 10 minutes per day.

Thank you very much!

I have read a few posts from people who successfully use these power plates for their rls and - interestingly - I’m not sure I’ve seen a post from anyone saying they tried it and it didn’t work. Apparently it is well worth trying this non-pharmaceutical option. We could also provide a useful second hand market for all those optimistic purchasers who bought one for reasons other than rls treatment and find they don’t use it.
