Anyone here has bloating belly?

Because lots of people think it could be gluten problem?

What do you think?

Can RLS cause shakiness in hands and foot during the day?

Thanks for the help and reply

Hi Sandee

I have never heard of belly bloating being associated with RLS. It sounds highly unlikely.

It would be better to investigate all other explanations for the bloating before attributing it to RLS. Gluten intolerance could possibly lead to the bloating, this is one avenue to investigate.

I haven't heard of an association between gluten intolerance and RLS. Others may be able to add to this.

You may have two co-existing conditions i.e. RLS and whatever's causing the bloating.

Yes shaking (due to RLS) can occur during the day especially if you're on RLS medication e.g. dopamine agonists. In which case it's possibly "augmentation".

You say they shake AFTER movement, is that body movement (or bowel movement). If either then it doesn't sound like RLS.

Shaking hands and feet could possibly be caused by other conditions either neurological or muscular, which in turn, may or not be associated with your bloating. Vitamin B deficiency can be caused by gut problems and it can lead to nerve transmission problems. (There are several B vitamins).

It could also be "intention tremor" arising from a problem in the brain.

If you also get numbness or tingling in your hands and feet (face?), it could be an electrolyte imbalance, which again could be related to your bloating.

In any event, your best plan is to see your GP and discuss ALL your symptoms and request a physical examination, mobility, reflexes, circulation and feel your tummy. A full range of blood tests and gluten intolerance test might be necessary.

My bloating stomach which I had for years and also caused nausea is a dairy intolerance. Give up all dairy and give it a try. May take 2 or 3 weeks. My Restless legs is not connected to this btw.

My RLS is related to lactose intolerance so if you can avoid all lactose for a few weeks you might find an improvement!
