Yes. Lyrica causes dizziness and double vision. However I found the symptoms eased considerably after 3/4 months and now I just have double vision for about 10/15 minutes in the morning.

I only take it at night. If you take it during the day it will cause sleepiness and tiredness as it is a sedating drug.

I would only take before bed, take no more than 150mg ( although some take up to 300mg for RLS ) and bear in mind you will still be suffering fatigue from the Shingles.

Yes Indeed, I have the same symptoms, especially blurred vision and sleepiness. I now take mine at night time . Only been taking the higher dose of 150mg , so far a slight decrease of RLS .

I second everything Jools says. I only take at night, if I get up in the night I can have a few mild balance issues which I am prepared to put up with in exchange for minimal RLS.

And the sleepiness is much much less than a disturbed night of RLS. So I put up with that too.

Hi Val

I have been on Lyrica for roughly the same time (75mg) twice a day for the purpose of nerve damage, I have had no side effects at all, it has almost done the job my GP said it would by relieving the numbness and pain in my left thigh, I have another week on this medication before I return to my GP who will then slowly withdraw me from the drug. I have to say I swear by Lyrica for my condition but obviously it’s not a case of one size fits all.

One question I should have asked did your GP introduced you to Lyrica in 25mg incrimints ?

Wish you well Val
