I’ve e found a trigger which as far as I know hasn’t been mentioned here before.
In spite of taking magnesium and tramadol daily I was getting breakthrough rls, some nights wosre than others.
A couple of weeks ago I set all my digital devices, - phone, ipad and laptop - to ‘nightmode’, it takes out the blue light. I’ve set it to run all day as well as during the night, and I’m getting a good nights sleep, with very little rls. Apparently the blue light from these devices affects the melatonin.
I don’t think we can ever totally get rid of rls once we have it, but this seems to be helping me, and it costs nothing to try. It takes a bit of getting usd to the yellowish screen, but it’s really worth giving it a try. There’s nothing to lose
