I started Lyrica about 3 weeks ago as I taper off of the awful Pramipexole. Anyway, I only take 120 mg at night, but during the day I have zero desire to do much of anything. Anyone experienced this?
I so appreciate this forum!

I have a feeling that is a fairly common side effect when starting lyrica. I think it usually settles down a bit after a week or two but a sense of sedation during the day is one of the reasons I struggled with the drug. It improved when I started taking dipyridamole and low dose naltrexone.
I have only just switched from a very low dose of pramipexole (0.0325 - 0.0625 mg/night) to pregabalin (225 - 300 mg/day). I commenced the Lyrica at the lower dose 5 days ago and have gradually increased up to the 300 mg/day. I've been able to stop the pramipexole, as the Lyrica is controlling the Periodic Limb Movement Disorder symptoms that I have (involuntary leg jerks every 20 seconds or so when retiring for bed)
I've experienced fluctuating light-headedness and slight sedation over this time but appears to be fading away now as my body adjusts to the new drug regimen. I'm also experiencing some mild to moderate nausea & stomach upset along with early waking during the nights. This adverse reaction is also improving now too. Can't say that I've had the 'demotivational' experience that you're experiencing. As with all drugs though we'll have our individual responses, along with the more commons effects that are seen with larger numbers of people. Hopefully that effect will fade away soon. If you're still concerned about that lack of desire to do things, perhaps you could talk to your practitioner about adjusting the dose.
At this point for me, it's looking good and I hope to continue getting relief from the PLMD symptoms without too many unpleasant side effects with the Lyrica. Hope this helps.
