rls food and activity diary update

This might be a little premature but Ive been doing my RLS diary for over 2 weeks now and Ive found that stress, (phone calls, visitors, pc issues) even a little amount and going out visiting friends brings on the RLS. Ive finally cut out sugar from my cuppas but over Easter the grandkids tempted me with a little chocolate but it didnt bring on the RLS- I know we have different backgrounds, genetics, stressors and maybe injuries picked up along the way but early indications for me seem to be pointing more to stress and the way I handle it or mishandle it.... heat is still a factor but we are heading into Australia's winter, Thank God for that as the cooler temps help too.

Great news - keep it going and live well!

Ooh....I’ve never thought of keeping an activity diary. That’s a good idea! How do you keep yours (what kinds of activities do you include)?

Hi

I keep one. Left had side of page has the day of week. On the next 4 lines (on the left) I write B for Breakfast, L for lunch, D for dinner and S for snacks. I leave a line and write Ex for exercise

Mon

B

L

D

S

Ex

Tue

B etc

I’ve done this for around a month. Adding up the calories (on the right hand side) which I guesstimate.

Hope this helps

I have a spreadsheet with 16 columns on my pc and colour in red the RLS episodes and any stressors the day/night before, the time: Food, coffee, tea, Temperature, unusual activity, Telephone calls...they get coloured red or green depending on who and the outcome. Visitors or going out, pain position and levels, meds if there is a change, headaches, nausea, stress, sleep quality, whether I get a nanna nap or not.... if u colour the good and the bad, patterns may emerge.... add any other column that is significant to ur lifestyle. good luck
