antihistamines
You can take loratadine, desloratadine, fexofenadine, all of which are non sedating and do not cross the blood brain barrier or affect RLS.
In the UK, claritin is the brand name of an anti histamine you can take without it making RLS worse.
Jools
Joolsgthank you I have tried claritin which can be obtained in US it does nothing for me but will have a go at the others you mentioned. heaven knows what is lurking this winter it is worse than spring for the sniffles.
I know. I dread getting a severe cold or the Aussie flu which is currently everywhere in the UK. I’ve had my flu vaccination but it’s not fully effective as the flu virus mutates.
I think I’ll be using good old Vicks vapour rub.
Fingers crossed we all avoid the dreaded lurgy.
I've seen somewhere that vicks makes rls worse- but not my own experience!
Fexofenadine (Allegra) is what I take and it's ok for RLS.
I had been taking Claritin (loratadine) but my doc said it's as week as drinking water.
