50/50 by volume of Epsom salts and aqua. Mix in a screw top jar. Rub on affected area as required.
You can add lavender essence or any other ingredient as you wish.
More expensive and fancy products may be purchased from fancy and expensive shops. As you wish.!
Cheers.
magnesium sprays are expensive and didn't work for me
Make your own it's much cheaper, more effective and you can also add therapeutic level essential oils. I have recently had ankle surgery where I had to be non weight bearing, this oil is getting me through as I can't pace up and down which is what I usually do for relief. It's widely accepted now that Magnesium can be beneficial.
I use essential oils as well as the Magnesium ascthey is the combination that works for me but tweak it as much as you like.
250 ml spring or filtered water
1 cup Magnesium Chlorate flakes
10 drops Lavender essential oil
5 drops Marjoram
5 drops Ylang Ylang
Boil water and stir in flakes
Cool and add oils
Use a funnel to pour into dark spray bottle
Spray over limbs and massage
I had an ankle op two months ago and was really worried about having a bad RLS attack. I sprayed the oil every night on my good leg and so far, 10 weeks on I've had three minor attacks.
If you are interested there is a site called Up Nature where a RLS sufferer talks about what works for her and why. Epsom salts and Magnesium Chlorate not the same but its whatever works for you. I bought the flakes ages ago and still have plenty left.
