Searching for the person that posted the name of an inexpensive cream or oil for rls & I believe Parkinson's, that was found at Walgreens. Can't find the post. I know I commented on it & am willing to try anything!

Thanks in advance

Welsh one posted on this 8 months ago. Do a search on the R L S UK site under Walgreens and you will find it.

It is 14.95 a jar and we have been using it for a few years now. All you do is rub this cream on your legs all over before bed or whenever needed. It really worked for him. We had them order more jars because they only kept a few. Go to Walgreens and look for it. It isn't the Restful legs so make sure you get the right jar. Just give it a try."

I think the US Walgreens purchased Europe's Boots. Hopefully it's there too (assuming that's where you live).

I have used one that I bought at Walgreen's here in the USA, called Magnilife Relaxing Leg Cream. I had bought some before called Restless Leg Cream, by the same company, and noticed that, tho they had changed the name of the product, the ingredients list was the same, as I had the old jar still at home and compared them. Rubbing it on over the area that has flared up, makes the nerve impulses go away after about 10 minutes.

BUT, and I am saying this again tho I have been posting about this recently - if you have sleep problems not all of them are caused by RLS (only made worse by RLS.) A person's brain needs to produce serotonin and GABA in order to be able to sleep and to stay asleep. If your various glands that produce these are worn out from lack of sleep, they can't produce enough - and the vicious circle continues. Just stopping the RLS is not necessarily enough, as the brain is still struggling.

A great book that explains the actual brain chemistry of sleep and how to fix it, is Julia Ross's book The Mood Cure. Chapter 12 is the chapter on sleep and how to fix it. (Yes she does talk about RLS, but there are many other problems that cause sleep issues - and the brain chemistry for sleep is still the same.)

Look for some of my recent posts on this, as I don't want to repeat myself over again.
