Anyone been tested for high calcium in blood?
BTW......It was another beautiful sunny day on the coast but the corgis are tired and their paws are chapped. Tomorrow a down day.
Just was wondering about rls and calcium levels.....

What a lovely photo. They look like they are having a good time.
We use to have a Staffie called Sam. One year we took him to the Norfolk coast. We walked down the cliff path and stopped at the entrance to the beach, where he stopped, stood four square, looked all around then ran hell for leather down down to the sea barking "I'm at the seaside yeahhhhh"
Sorry, can't answer your question though. Your photo just brought back some happy memories.
Have a great time. X
Interesting you should ask. I had a scan a while ago which showed oddly high calcium deposits in the basal ganglia. My neurologist is curious about this and is trying to find out why. I may learn more when I see her in July.
Lovely photo but can't help you with high calcium though. sorry.
Are you going to get your levels checked?
B.
Haven't ever even looked at calcium levels. Will be interested to see if anyone has anything positive to say.
But just posting to wonder precisely how many corgis you have? Every time you put up a picture there seems to be yet another one. They are gorgeous btw - I hope their paws recover. Do they go for a swim or just look picturesque and strangely dignified on the sand?
Apparently too much calcium can be countered by taking magnesium. I have MS and am aware that calcium deposits are attracted to scarring in the brain and as I have a lot of that, I've always avoided taking calcium supplements BUT I do take high levels of vitamin D as that is supposed to help MS & other auto immune diseases. The problem is that too much Vit D can cause too much calcium to be absorbed.
So, I'm going around in circles but think I need to reduce my Vit D and take more magnesium and Vit K. I have to be careful when I take the magnesium as it can stop the pregabalin ( or gabapentin) working properly if taken within 3/4 hrs either side.
Lord it's confusing. I rattle with all the supplements I take on a daily basis in the hope of helping my MS & my severe RLS....
Off to take some magnesium now. Those dogs are adorable by the way.
Take care
Jools
We just can't win jools and I agree. We have so many this and that's to look out for. And you with MS can be tricky too. I have a cupboard full if supplements and want to chuck it all away.
The corgs send their loves. 🤓✌💖
