Hi.

For rls sufferers it is meant to be between 70-100.

Well, I would get it checked if you are not too sure about your levels. For example my level is 37 and I am taking iron supplement for it. It is normal for normal people but in our case it is too low.

Since I have given up pramipexole and using iron only, I get less rls. It doesn't work for everyone though. I am one of the lucky one to get away with it

Please have a look at this link.

rls-uk.org/news/rls-and-iron

it will give you better information.

Take care.

No problem.

I am using iron bisglycinate, ask your doctor about it. It made such a difference in my life.

Good luck.

Ferritin levels aren't the whole story- as you may know if you've checked my posts. I have 1300 now and doesn't help.

But if you have low ferritin 20- 50 then well worth checking out iron supplementation - with doctors oversight.

Cheers.

How are you getting on 1777 with the iron supplement

Hi,

I now stopped iron tablets as I don't get much RLS if I stick to my diet. (No cafeine, no sulphites and no late eating)

I am taking b12, folic acid in the morning, magnesium and calcium before bedtime. If I get rls in the night then I take iron bisglycinate. I know I am lucky and it isn't this simple for everyone.

How are you feeling now?

You will always "have it" because there is no cure but it may give you much, if not all relief.

The RLS specialist I go to said it should be over 100. Mine was 70 and he had me go for an iron infusion.
