We are very pleased to confirm that the much anticipated Channel 5 programme on RLS will be aired in the UK on Tuesday, 4th April at 10pm (it will also be available on catch-up if you miss it).

Please share with your friends and family so they can watch, learn and hopefully better understand RLS.

Brilliant. Will email my GP surgery in the hope some of them will tune in and realise 2 glasses of milk a day will not help RLS!

2 glasses of milk? lol If milk helped with RLS, I could stop all my meds, since all I drink is tons of water, and about 3 glasses of milk per day. :)

I know. My GP said "we all get aches, pains & spasms" just drink 2 glasses of milk a day and get a part time job to distract yourself. I think that rates as one of the worst responses ever to a plea for help from severe RLS! The neurologist I saw was not surprised however, and said she always sends a GP info pack to try to educate them a little on how RLS is serious and not just "aches & pains" that everyone experiences as they age.

Excellent! I'll spread the word.

If only there was some way that our American members and members from other countries could watch this.

Ch 5 on demand and do it via a VPN that lets you set what region you are 'operating' in.

Tunnel bear is free and you can set your country as England and away you go:

tunnelbear.com

I thought that was only for Ruski mafia?!😈

Thanks for the heads up!

in reply to

Never heard of tunnelbear.com and this can be used so people from the USA or anywhere else can view the channel 5 RLS programme ? While its been shown or after its been shown. ? I am not tech minded with these types of things, so would hate to pass it on and find i am passing on something that will have members from another group, want to kill me for messing their device up. :P

in reply to

tunnel bear you install then choose what region of the world you want to appear to come from, very easy and you'll get to watch the show.

Wonder could this be used for buying concessionary tickets in some countries?

ie- rail tickets in New Zealand!?😈

in reply to Madlegs1

It is just a VPN they are a dime a dozen, this one allows you to try several hundred mb of data free and easily allows you to pick where you will appear to be. It is legal and used by hundreds of thousands if not millions daily.

If you want NZ tickets and they are cheap if purchased in country then this will allow it.

Wait, you have to lie and say you are from the UK when you are not. I think we have found a better one, from a guy in one of my groups. Will go get it.

in reply to nightdancer

Er, they all work the same!

We use "WatchUKTVonline." It costs around 15 bucks a month and you can get all channels live or recorded on VOD. There are some glitches but it works well most of the time! We watch it nearly all the time.

I wonder if there is any way to watch or get a copy of this in the US.

Absolutely great!! Makes it easier for close family and friends to understand what we are all suffering with!! Thanks for sharing that info. Much appreciated!!

Please let the program show how we do suffer

I know there were lots of interviews done with RLS sufferers, and that is one of the major components of this program.

I just hope when I tell folks I have had a bad night with rls they will understand what it's about,I can't wait thanks

Someone who does not have RLS can never REALLY understand all of it and what it does to us, but this program is going to be excellent. :) We need a lot of more of these kinds of things done. Thanks to the chairman here, this got done, Daragh has worked on this for a loooooong time.

We can try this. A gentleman from the US suggests this site and this is what we are going to try in my groups.

I hope the link works. My antivirus says it is safe. :) I will be checking it out before the air date to see what I can see. :) Cheers! I clicked on my link and it does take you to the web site, so this may be the answer. Elisse actually got this from the gentleman, so thank you to Elisse! xx

Fantastic news! Let's encourage as many people as possible to watch it as this is such an unknown and underestimated complaint which causes absolute misery to all those affected!

Perhaps someone local could record it and upload it YouTube. That way us Yanks could pull it from from there?

Dear all. Please allow me to introduce myself; I am Mark Beech, the director of this documentary. When I first started filming I went into the project with a neutral mindset, I was curious about RLS yet had no idea what I was going to observe. After half a year of documenting the lives of the 4 sufferers involved (and talking to nearly a hundred other sufferers) I witnessed a condition that strips people of their comfort, freedom and dignity. Ultimately I was stunned by the damaged done by this most pernicious condition. I sincerely hope that this documentary will cause a much needed public discussion about a condition that gets unfairly swept under the carpet.

Furthermore, I had several chats with fantastic experts in the US who provided invaluable information that enabled me to make this a powerful and factually accurate piece about the lives of RLS sufferers. So I sincerely hope that all of you in the US can find a way of watching the documentary.

Kind regards,

Mark.

in reply to Echobeech75

Hi Mark, i would like to thank you and the production company for making this documentary which will let people see how this condition inpacts our lives on a daily basis. A condition that doesnt get taken seriously by many, including doctors. Thank you again. :)

I am just watching it and wondering how many of the sufferers have been tested for b12 deficiency especially Terry who has memory problems...another symptom...unfortunately most doctors are not clued up on b12d and even when diagnosed patients receive inadequate treatment.

In my case since getting my b12 and cofactors optimal my rls has improved by 80 + %.

Also my memory problems have totally gone

If someone from England can send me the video file I can post to YouTube or even host a torrent (perhaps even a private torrent, if that exists). I am willing to help in any way I can. I do not know how to get the video file. I have a VPN and will attempt to watch chan 5 on demand; have not done that sort of thing before. I want to help get the word out.

in reply to Oneinfiniteloop

People have already posted links so that people from other countries can watch it.
