This just about sums up what we have to deal with. Aswell as RLS I have suffered from a very bad bladder problem. I have had tubes stuck up places that a man shouldn't have. Trialed 3 different drugs, and had surgery, which only made things worse. Then as I am reading about an article about other problems RLS can cause, there I see Incontinence. Not once has this been picked up on. ARRRGH!

Not once have i read anywhere that RLS can cause incontinence.

Hi! I'm just trying to find the place that I read it from. once I remember I will let you know. ☺
Maybe the incontinence was caused by leg movements when rls was bad. Just a thought
I've noticed that then the RLS is bad it seems to go for my bladder insomuch as there is like a nerve running through to my bladder that makes me feel like I have to go even when I don't, (mind you when its bad I can't pee inside as my body is shaking that much it would go everywhere! too much information? ).
I've never been incontinent but I wouldn't rule it out on my personal experience.
I'm not a violent person either but when your life is miserable and that is exacerbated by incompetent or uncaring people it is maddening and I am surprised more Drs aren't attacked, (there is an inordinate amount of nurses and ambulance staff hurt for doing their best to help while Drs do little and walk away scot free).
I'd be keen to see that article on incontinence btw.
I have read on here about people having bladder problems and RLS and wondering about the link. Posts from 4 years ago. Don't know if this link will work:

I definitely don't approve of violence either but I took the slap comment to be a throw away remark used to indicate the severe levels of frustration being felt. I might be wrong but I don't think the writer really means that the doctor needs a slap or that they'd do it. I know I've made exaggerated claims of action I'd take if someone did or didn't do something, but people do it for affect. Just my opinion though!
Needing to go several times to the loo, is different to what the poster said incontinence means not being able to hold on to your wee. When i get up in the night i always visit the bathroom to wee. And that can be every hr that my RLS stops me sleeping. While i am pacing downstairs i also make a cup of tea, gives me something to do so, i put that as the reason to keep going. If i dont get up to pace then no tea gets drank so no need to use the bathroom. It makes no difference to my RLS.
