I have had RLS all my life started when I noticed I had to rock myself to sleep at night when I was 8 years old.
I have been taking meripex extended release.75 for awhile I take it at 5:00 everyday. This has really helped me it doesn't have the side effects I use to have when I took the Meripex 1mg not extended release every night. Another thing that's helped me is I watch what I eat and I try to eat before 6:00 in the evening. I eat protein and vegetables very little bread and this helps me so much I feel I can move down to .50 extended release Meripex now if this works in this amount of Meripex I will be so happy I'm excited to see if I can :). Calling my dr today to get that .50 amount in Meripex and still keep.75 just in case it's needed I will be so grateful if I can control this with less medicine and my diet because I understand how hard RLS is to live with I love this group has helped me so much thank you and I hope less pain for all and peaceful sleep

That's great. Just be aware that lowering the dose of Meripex even by a third will have withdrawal effect. So you may have to withstand some discomfort for a few weeks until your body gets acclimatised.
Could I suggest you get a range of dose strengths of Mirapex so as to help rather than just .75 and .5. I think it comes in a number of small dose strengths and you would then have an armoury of strengths to allow you to tackle this tapering down in a measured way.
Yes I'm going to take my time lowering the dose of meripex I take. I hope they have the extended release in smaller doses because that works better for me. I wish I would have known that years ago. I feel some freedom from this medicine and I love that I hope I can do it. It's hard to do and if I go backwards at times I just don't give up and keep on trying. I feel like I have taken a big step from 11/2 and at times more to .75 if I go lower would be a miracle to me.
