well i have only tried a broad strip of muslin or elastic bandage, and only from the arch of your feet to just before your toes, tight enough so it wont fall off, but not too tight to cut off circulation. it worked for me, hope it works for you !

Hi Jeanie,i have tried something similar although i have not tried it as a preventative only once RLS starts up when it didnt work so well.I used elastic/rubber bands (actually hair bobbles lol) Put a dozen on same part of foot.I get RLS severely in my left foot. When i have my next dopamine break i will try it before my symptoms start up.Hope its still helping you? X

Hi j-e-a-n-n-I-e. I tried wrapping my feet just last evening, and it set me off! I had a bad RLS attack shortly after that. So, I know there's a connection between the foot muscles and the RLS. I also have a sciatic nerve problem, so I am not writing off the foot wrapping just yet. I will try it again.

It's hard for me to tell the difference between RLS and the sciatic nerve causing the attack, which is exactly like RL.

Thanks for the info, Jeannie! I hope this helps someone else.

Not at all, Jeannie. I think it was my sciatic nerve that was reacting. When it gets irritated, it causes symptoms identical to RL. I have an MRI scheduled next week to see what is happening with that nerve. Getting that straightened out may prove to be half my problem. Then I will try the foot wrap again. I don't give up easily.

Blessings, Jeannie!

Thank you Jeannie. I am glad you have found something that works for you. It must be wonderful. You have won the lottery. I will try this. I haven't tried wrapping yet but I tried wearing my shoes in bed . Wasn't comfortable and it didn't work. So I will try the wrapping. I am also trying molasses and someone recommended cider vinegar which I bought but not sure how to take it. Thank you for your help.
