I have used 'Goodnight Magnesium spray' on my legs before bed and for the last few months I haven't had many nights with my legs dancing and getting no sleep. Worth trying it .

Hi Shon 48. Are you on medication as well. I have been on pramipexole for a few years now started on 1 at night 0.88mg every time i went to the doctors he would tell me to take another one till i was taking 5 then he changed it to a slow release one taking 1 0.53mg every night. One day cauld,nt get to see my doctor and this doctor i saw changed it back again taking 1 at night 0.18mg about a month befor christmas i have been in agony since don,t no how much more of this i can take as i have got older its getting much worse i have suffered for 39 years. I think it was about 30 years having no medication the doctors did,nt no what it was so i would take 2 co-codamol every night to get some relief.

Hi Carol. As usual this spray obviously won't help everybody . There are drugs you can get for it but I can't use them as I'm on strong cancer drugs.

I hope you find something to help you soon, it's such an annoying problem . Shona

Hi Carol1948, Maybe you are suffering augmentation from the Pramipexole. Keep watching this website and you will receive some wonderful help,

Carol1948 it sound like you are having augmentation from your med so you need to get off of it. Look in search on here for many posts about taking a high dose of a dopamine med and augmentation. Nothing will give you relief if you are suffering augmentation.

I have the Goodnight mag spray and it didnt help my RLS at all.

Hi Shon48. So, because of your post about the Goodnight spray I purchased it but didn't try it till one night even though I was under my meds, my legs started the "funny" feeling like I was going to get an attack so I tried it. HA, to my surprise it DID work, it felt as though I had sprayed something menthol with a little tingling but pleasant, I couldn't believe it. I. Not sure if it would work completely with a full blown attack, but for an additional help, I liked it. Thanks for sharing, it's just too bad it doesn't work for everyone but it's the same with the meds, some for one and some for none., go tell. Happy new year

Thank you for your response . I too don't have relief every night but it's so much better than it used to be . Some of the medication I'm on for cancer makes it worse but the g.p has helped by tweeking them a bit as you really need rest at night. It's certainly not a cure for everybody but I'm glad you tried it and got a bit of relief. It's such an awful ,annoying ,troublesome problem . I wish you more nights of a little relief if not total .

I made my own "magnesium oil" by boiling Epson salts in water. I'd like to try the Goodnight Magnesium spray. I heard that there is also an "Ancient Minerals" spray that is supposed to work in the same way. Recently, I have read that soaking in a bath of Epsom salts, for at least 20 minutes, is a big help with the RLS symptoms. The magnesium in the Epsom salts helps to relieve the cramps.

Haven't posted for a long time but I thought I would give an update on my restless legs situation. I have been taking the supplement, Magnesium Mitrate for about a year and pleased to say no more restless legs .
