Hi, wolverine, yes you can suffer rls in your arms and shoulders.
Hi wolverine, if you type in "shoulders, arms" in the search box at the top of the page you should find past postings regarding RLS in other parts of the body.
Have you visited rls-uk.org/

Yes I have this horrible feeling for several years, the whole upper body and arm , I hardly sleep at night.
I had a horrible accident because of the Neupro 24 hour patch, this made me fall asleep instantly while driving down hill ( it was winter time and snow on the ground -
I fell asleep without warning and lucky to be alive;
woke up as a Police man knocked at my window, my Mercedes SUV luckily must have steered to the right and run into a guard rail ,pushed the guard rail 6 feet , stopped before going downhill into the embankment,
that saved my life and also the strong
bumper of that car.
My Neurologist never told me about the danger and felt he should have never prescribed anything like that, specially if you need to drive
I am trying to get off the medication, Pramipexole, which also has the same danger and dare not to drive within hours of taking this medication.
So I tried homeopathic, Schuessler Mineral Salt , Kinisiology ,lots of Magnesium, Iron,- I believe it has something to do with not enough oxygen, need to find out what is the best method to get oxygen , may be need to fly to Germany where they have a clinic that supposedly has great results,

I too fell asleep on the motorway whilst on the Neupro patch luckily the motorway wasn't busy. I woke up just as I was heading for the central reservation. When I thought I may have killed other motorists I was really upset.
When my rls is really bad my head shakes from side to side as well as my arms and legs. Thank God medication is available to control it. Can't imagine the pure torture without it. Life wouldn't be worth living.
Yes you can, I often get it in my upper arms
Hi Wolverine, I have had RLS for 30 years and as you get older it develops. I get it in my right arm more than the left and I walk around shaking them, it's part of the RLS tea time dance. Cheers Jimeka
Yes, RLS can travel to other parts of the body including the torso. Usually if your meds are working ok then it should take care of the other parts which are getting RLS.
I have RLS in both my upper body and legs every day. I do not know how common this is. Blessings.
Yes, arms legs and the rest. Arms and legs at the same time with RLS twinges up to about every 15 seconds then perhaps a bit longer like 5 minutes and then perhaps 10 minutes then back to 15 seconds.
I take Pramipexole for treatment of Parkinson's disease. This means I am on a higher dose than you would expect for RLS.
Stopping Pramipexole and other Dopamine agonists too is very difficult with unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Look up DAWS. I found that I couldn't settle constantly trying to do something but stopping doing it after about 10 seconds to get up and walk about or to sit down and then to stand up again very soon after sitting plus other symptoms that I can never find a satisfactory description of other than to say I felt very strange.
Some on this website recommend getting assistance from your GP with strong pain killing drugs (e.g. morphine) to make the process bearable.
On the other hand if you can't treat RLS with Dopamine agonists what are you left with. Sleepless nights and with no promise of a effective alternative. All in good fun, not.
The frequency that I tried to describe above only applies when not taking a Pramipexole dose.
yes when my rls gets worse it starts in my arms as well.
Yes I do and it's bloody painfull
