This could help!!!! It helped me.

Know how miserable RLS can be. A friend suggested I try a foot vibrator - on of those things you put your feet on and it vibrates like crazy. This did help. Then I dried a hand-held vibrator on the calves of my legs, and it helped even more! It is not totally gone, but about 98% better. I sure hope this works for others.

This only helps for a few minutes for those with severe RLS. Sadly, I've tried them.

My husband has to really massage my legs, thigh and that sometimes elevates the jumping. But it's getting harder now. Magnesium seems to help me at the moment. Probably won't last but who cares, it does now!

I can see how that could provide temporary relief. I've always wondered whether a TENS machine would work - at least you could leave it on when the sensations are at their strongest. Does anyone know if this has ever been tried?

What a shame. Thanks for replying. Wonder if anyone else has tried?

I have tried a foot massager and TENS, the massager made my legs jump and the TENS didnt do a thing to help.

I've also tried foot massage. When RLS is severe it's impossible to stay still long enough (for me anyway) to do anything! I just have to walk about about until it stops and as we all know - this can be hours!! Not pleasant when it's 3.00 a.m. and sleep sill hasn't happened. Onwards and Upwards eh???

I totally agree with you. When the RLS is bad, you can't sit still long enough to do anything. I've had many long walks at night. Also lots of bicycling my legs in bed til the RLS goes away. Sometimes it seems like forever!!!!!

I certainly find a hand held massager helps. In fact i couldn't get any sleep at all without mine. I have also tried the circulator but that seemed to make my legs worse.
