I have been on one Ropinirole for a good while now. I take it and two 800mg of Tylenol before bed. As my legs begin to hurt and move I get my wife to run the large head vibrator over my legs and to my butt She also vibrates the Siaciata nerve in the butt. After a few minutes the legs ease off and I can go to sleep. Sleep seems to break the cycle for me. I have posted this prior.

Hi Jim. I have to agree with you. I use a muscle vibrator on my quads every day after I have taken my ropinirole (4mg) 3x/day and am waiting for the medicine to take effect. I also have sciatica but that is too painful to touch. I tried to compare a regular electric vibrator to a tens unit (eg: Icy Hot brand) which actually shoots electric currents through you and has been proven to be quite helpful for some folks. They are two completely different 'animals' doing completely different things for RLS but it is certainly worth trying one or the other or both. Thanks.
Do you mean a vibrator as in sex toy? I tried a Tens machine but it made the RLS worse.

You take 4mg of Ropinirole 3 times a day? That’s 12mg.
Please be aware that such a high dose is 12 times over the new maximum recommend dose.
Look up Augmentation on here. Increasing dose of Ropinirole, increased severity of RLS, symptoms starting earlier and moving to other body parts are all signs of Augmentation.
There are 3 or 4 people on here who have been on such a high dose and all have been suffering Augmentation.

My reply was to lbf who commented on your post. lbf seems to be on 12mg of Ropinirole- way too high & 12 times recommended max dose. I was worried he/she is augmenting on that dose.

Hey joolsg, it's been a long time since we last corresponded... glad to see you are still here. (Somehow I fell off of Health Unlocked's RLS posting site and just a few weeks ago it popped back up just as quickly as it disappeared.) You, and others, are completely correct, I am experiencing augmentation and have been for about a year. I know. When I mentioned to my neurologist approx. 8 months ago that 4 mg a day was the legal limit in the USA, he laughed over the term 'legal limit.'
Personally, I am just thankful that I have been able to take Requip/ropinirole for 20 years with no side effects knowing eventually that augmentation was imminent.

Thanks I have the tens and Vib. I was taking 8 ropinirole per day. My Dr went thru the ceiling and said taper off. I quit then and now 1 oer day

Hi, Troopdad, you wrote that you're talking two x 800 mg Tylenol at a time. You should never take more than 1000 mg Tylenol every 6 hours max, and no more than 4000 mg per day. Anything more than 1000 mg per 6 hour time period can lead to serious liver damage.
