Not saying we should build one just maybe try it
Is that a good idea to stay connected to it all night? I don't
know..I toss and turn at night..that thing might land through
the window.. haha. It's cool how they gave the instructions
to build a machine on the cheap.. If anyone does do this..
tell me please how it worked out for you.
The TENS machine made my RLS MUCH worse. In fact I was pulling off the leads in desperation it was so bad.
Oh My Gosh.. I haven't tried a tens for my RLS but I did use
one on my knee that was full of fluid from a bad tumble a few
years back. It worked okish for that but the fluid did return after
3-5 days.
Im the same tore the leads of, could not stand it, but i do hear people say it helps with pain like sciatica
I have tried a TENS too, and it didnt help my RLS at all. But like spike i have heard people get relief from pain like sciatica. I am familiar with that article about building your own, seen that somewhere else, a few years ago, but never tried to build one.
it just shows how desparate people can get realy, i think anyway
Indeed. I am looking through very ancient times and
finding out what they used to cure ailments. Rags
dunked in boiling water to kill germs and take down
harmful bacteria but I am still not finding any way to
relax the legs..or to deal with painful legs. I am so
desperate tonight that I am ready to comb the streets
looking for anything to stop my legs to let me sleep.
I lost a lot of hope in talking with my doctor today. I actually
asked for a nerve block with tears in my eyes. He looked
at me like I fell off my rocker last night. I told him like it
is..I feel like beating up on my legs to get them still. I
went to sit in the hot tub outside..Nada thing changed.
Walking isn't helping much either. It's been months since
I went this nuts with it.
Yes, we are all looking for that magic pill, magic remedy, magic anything, that will help us. If anyone wants to try the TENS, ask around your neighbours, family or friends, see if they have one, save buying one and it doesnt work. Or maybe you will be the one that finds it does.
I picked up a Tens Machine in Hong Kong some years ago and it has been far from a waste of time. It has quite a few settings and timers and has helped me keep some of my pain in check as well as helping with my RLS. It cost about £35 at the time and at that price I must admit to being a bit dubious, but it did work and I would not be without it now.
I tried it once and it was so unbearable that I never tried it again. It felt like I was plugged into an electric socket and made my RLS ten times worst, but we're all different so these things are all worth a try.
