Another one to read folks
Restless legs tend to run in families. I love it.
I do really hate all thoose old knowledge about secondary RLS popping up now and then as news, without talking anything about the primary form. sigh........
its dated this year so its not old, and i think we need to know all these things, ive just joined so glad to see it
I am so sorry spike28!
This facts are old for me and I did the mistake to think we all have the same knowledge, please forgive a torned soul!
no problem Swedish
Since Ive been talking openly about mine, it has emerged that other people in my family have got it, and my nanna definatly had it before she died because when she was in hospital she had real problems as she was lay down all the time. x
To Tullula, Concerning the article you posted. This post mentioned taking a particular product before bedtime containing calcium, magnesium and Vit D called Sleep Minerals II. Has anyone tried taking that, and if so can you share your experiences. I wonder how different this product is from just taking those same vitamins on your own. I am taking calcium and magnesium before bedtime, take Vit D during the day but cannot say that those alone are helping the RLS. I also get a lot of leg cramps at night, and wondered if anyone else experiences cramping and what your remedies are. How does sodium intake play in all of this I wonder?
HI, this one is an ad that is made to look like an article. yes, they copied some good basic info, as is usual for these people, but the fact that they have a link in the middle of the "article" pointing to a particular product for sale is the giveaway. Just something to keep in mind. The information is good, like I said, but an ad just the same, so understand where the author is "coming from". As always we make up our own minds, but I have seen too many of these to not call them out. There is really nothing new about the "Minerals II" product. There are studies all over about calcium and Vitamin D, but nothing extra special in that formula to say it is any different from a hundred other products. I did not look at the price, but I bet you can buy the basic ingredients right in your pharmacy, too. some people say they help, some not, so just thought I would throw that in there. So many people trying to get money out of desperate people...........and we have all been desperate!
oh, and I forgot to add that they discuss B vitamins, but that is not in this formula, and the rest is only calcium and magnesium with zinc. One softgel had 65% of daily limit of zinc, and so that has to be looked at, too. 4 of those a day would bring you to zinc toxicity, over 220 mgs is toxic with zinc, so you would have to watch your zinc intake on other things as well.
Thank you for your replies. I too suspected the writer was just trying to sell their product.
I was reading a lot on here this morning, and i did notice that Tallula, says on her posts, that she doesnt put her opinion on them, she said she didnt want to influence people with them, so they make their own mind up, good idea that, not forcing your opinion on us.
I think it harmless enough a post, not like some ive seen on the internet, "we can cure you " type things, realy get to me those do, and i cannot stand them, "im the only one who can help you", yeah right, why are we all still here then ??
same here Spike, i cannot stand that either, the people or companies that are just after your money annoy the hell out of me, and the same with people that "know it all" if that was the case, they wouldnt be around would they, they would have cured themselves and be on their way.
