M.E Petition

The NHS provides psychiatric therapies for what it refers to as "CFS/ME". These therapies are often ineffective and sometimes make patients worse. They are the result of a Myalgic Encephalomyelitis policy heavily influenced by psychiatrists who are skeptical about the existence of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. It is time for a policy re-think about the effectiveness (and cost-effectiveness) of current treatment.

Great post Ian, you beat me to it.

We need to sign and share this petition as much as possible and persuade as many people as possible to do the same. I know ME petitions rarely get above the 20,000 mark but it is so important that we at least try and get over the 100,000 mark with this.

Hugs, Margaret. xxx

I cannot understand why so few seem to sign the petition. ME is a ghastly disease. It ruins lives throughout the world. Ebola was stamped on , as was Polio. We are only too happy to moan about our horrible symptoms. So why doesn't everyone sign up to the petition ???????????????????????

ME is not psychiatric . Some doctors pick on depression as a marker for ME. It is the other way round you are likely to feel depressed , with such a dreadful disease as ME. I cant help feel that many psychiatrists would like it to be as it makes money. All misdiagnosis makes money , being paid for chasing your tail is "fabulous" . It takes an honest man or woman to admit that they are wrong but know what to do and who to sack.

Time the neurologists took control of a neuro immune disease and left the history of (hysteria) conversion disorder behind as it should have no place in modern medicine.
