Treating individual symptoms with medication producing least adverse side effects because there are no specific medications for this disease.

Until groups are defined as distinct from others under the same umbrella diagnosis the drugs companies are not really interested. Broad definitions such as Oxford criteria are pointless in describing groups treatment will be effective for.

Why pharmaceuticals have not thought this a worthwhile market is beyond my understanding I'm sure.

No recommended pharmaceuticals was a shocking finding.

The FDA have no approved drugs for me/cfs they are all used off label for symptoms.

Says nothing about amytryptiline that I can see.

Appears as though focus was on treatments for recovery rather than symptoms but I could be wrong (again)
