The Lightning Process In 2011 Hampshire Trading Standards requested that the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) give a ruling on the website lightningprocess.com, arguing that the information on the site was misleading in four areas. The ASA upheld two of the four challenges. They concluded that although there seemed to be some evidence of participant improvement during trials conducted, the trials were not controlled, the evidence was not sufficient enough to draw robust conclusions, and more investigation was necessary; consequently, the website's claims at the time were deemed misleading

Chinese medicine.... a friend gave me some of those patches that you stick on your feet at night. Apparently as you slept they draw all the toxins out of your body and you get this black sticky stuff on the pads. After a week or so the pads were supposed to stay clear, meaning all the toxins had gone.

Well I tried it for a month and every morning the pads were black and well and truly stuck to my feet.

The only difference i felt was even more tired in the morning from having to wash my feet!

Two brisk ten minute walks a day advice from a previous GP.

Okay now my new doctor is much more understanding there are no such ludicrous ideas and a brisk walk suggestion brings a chuckle.

Vitamins were suggested by one well meaning person and 'fighting it harder' by another.

It is always difficult to know how to respond to people, I now they mean well, but as if I'd spend nearly 6years disabled without having tried a multi-vitamin, allergy testing, hormone assays, intolerance testing, fish oils, the Perrin technique, etc, etc...

The really uncomfortable fact is that if I was in their position of blissful ignorance I'd probably be offering the same clueless suggestions!

Having IBS all of the "some diet" have been checked out and still dr google finds something that will change my fortunes. I take this in the hopeful spirit that I believe most people that take the time sharing such because they want too help give advice.
