why do i feel so rough?????

day 54 smoke free and i feel like death i never got sick when i smoked, now its one thing after another. i cant sleep, im knackered and i have no appetite (maybe thats a good thing!!!) is this normal??

you've done ever so well reaching 54 days, thats almost 2 months

It is quite normal at this stage to feel the way you do and its a positive sign that your body is learning to live without all those (over) 4,000 toxic chemicals with over 60 of them cancer causing. Many people experience either loss or gain in appetite.

Given time, your sleep pattern will return to normal eventually. I have just popped up one of our breating exercises for you that will help relax you before you go to sleep. It's worth having a read through it before so you know what to expect. Once you have practiced it a couple of times it should come easy to you. I seem to be having trouble posting the link to it for you but you should now see it on the list of blogs (Breathing exercise 3)

When you were a 'full time' smoker, your smoking habit would have masked quite a lot of the symptoms that you are feeling now.

At the end of the day, if you hadn't given up smoking, you wouldn't be feeling this way, it won't last.

Just try and stay positive and we'll help get you to where you want to be

Im smoke free for just 1 week and woke today feeling rough.. But i say to myself i wasent born with a fag in my mouth and i Wont die with one

Aw I feel for u, I have headaches too. dont know what knackered means explain plse and me I want to everything and I salivate like a hungry dog. Seems Im the only one on here salivating but I looked it up and is very common but only to me lmao. Good for you almost 2 months free awsome. U will find your body turning on u because its like having a nic fit and u r not giving it so your brain is rebelling so to speak. hell I got pimples f-k 57 and breaking out like a teenager. Havent had a pimple in over 40 yrs til now.

Everyday will be an experience some good some bad, when I get to the good I will shout it to the world, til I do hang in. Sleep will hopefully come for one of us cause it keeps missing my ass. smile show the pearly whites cause they arent stained with nicotine anymore thats a plus RIGHT
