Good luck with your move. I hope you feel the benefits. We are in the process of having a walk in shower and grab rails fitted in the bathroom. So we too are looking for some improvement in our facilities.

Best wishes

Glad to hear it is finally happening. Good luck and very best wishes to you when you move to your new home. Sounds great that you will no longer have any stairs to negotiate. My hubby is having dreadful problems with stairs - even with a lot of support from me. Enjoy your new home.- you've had to wait long enough for the move to take place so here's hoping it will all go smoothly for you.

Take care................SuzieQ xx

I struggled getting my husband up the stairs until we succumbed to having a stairlift installed . Not cheap but I wouldnt be without it now for the world . In fact although I was still walking up myself I am now grateful for it because I have injured my foot .

Don't know how we ever managed before .

I keep telling myself not to wait and get anything we need NOW!! .. I have seen so many cases when they leave it to the last minute and pass away before they have used it .. Not that I always practice what I preach . The next thing on the list is an adjustable bed ( Profile if possible ) because my husband is having great trouble turning onto the bed once he has sat on it , he usually ends up flat on his back ..

Wishing you all the best with your move. you deserve it

Hi Jill,

it's so great to see progress for you :)

When you can finally drag yourselves away from the pub, the ground floor flat will be fab!

I'm sure we still have boxes in the attic that we never unpacked when we moved in, 12 years ago- you'll find what you need

All best wishes Jill

Dear Jill

I have just seen that you are now in your ground floor flat - YIPEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! I am so so so pleased for you - I will tell mum in the morning, what wonderful news!!!!

sorry we have been off the radar. we think of you often and send lots of love.

mum ok - having a good patch - got rid of a urine infection and she is eating well, even put on some weight so we rejoice in a good patch :-)

hope you are coping ok. Moving is a stressful time - even though you had so much time waiting for it, when it happens it is so tiring isnt it, so take it easy and get lots of rest.
