It was the PSPA t-shirts that caught my eye. Very interesting couple, sadly lost their home and husband diagnosed with CBD in the same week.....just ordered the book The Salt Path Couple'

I managed to watch it on ITVX so thank you. They are walking the London Marathon. My husband was diagnosed with CBD and as yet I have not managed to read The Salt Path, but I have it and as I live near the coastal walk one day I will read it. Love AliBee x

I didn't know about it. Where do you watch it? Is it on TV? I've read their wonderful book and would love to see it.

Good Morning......it was an interview on This Morning on ITV. I recorded it as I was working and couldn't concentrate on it, but I am sure I heard there was talk of making a film about them?🤞

Old Hall,

I saw the This Morning interview by chance with my wife, Ruth, who always watches the programme. I met Moth, the husband, 2 years ago at a folk festival - he seemed really nice. He was on good form then and still seems to be doing really well now. In the TV interview his speech seemed very clear and he is obviously a great walker! It shows how good exercise is for sufferers of CBD / PSP and how for some people the disease progresses at different rates. Ruth was diagnosed in 2016 with CBD and we are still battling on!

Richard 🙂

Hi Richard, they seem like a really lovely couple who have been through a lot. I look forward to reading their book.....it does just show how people progress at different rates. My husband has PSP and within a year went from 8-10 mile walks 2-3 times a week to now using a stroller or wheelchair just to get him to the car. I don't know as much about CBD, but I send love to you and Ruth and hope you manage to make the most of the better days. 🌞

I feel sadness when I see how variable these diseases are in terms of progression. Moth is exceptionally blessed as he’s been living with the disease since being diagnosed in 2013 and he’s about to set off on a 150 mile walk for charity! That’s 11 years after diagnosis. Although it’s brilliant they are raising money for PSPA he is progressing very differently to the vast majority of sufferers of these diseases. My husband was diagnosed in May 2023 at age 63 and was as fit as a fiddle two years before that sailing and walking and sea kyacking. . He is now totally immobile and dependant upon me for everything. He cannot speak at all and is on a liquid diet.

it really is luck of the draw isn't it? so sad to see someone so active and full of life to now be so dependant on others....keep strong...so glad we have this forum for support x
