I posted a plea for help/question a few days ago and I just want to thank you all for the help and support in your answers, it’s been heartbreaking to read your situations, I now have a list of things to ask for and a much better understanding of the challenges ahead. Sending you much love and many thanks.

Sorry to hear about your mum’s recent diagnosis.

The advice you have been given is great, it is so important to have a support network in place.

I was advised to get certain admin matters done early on:

Have you got Power of Attorney for your mum for Finance and also Health and Well-being?

Has your mum already applied for Attendance allowance?

If you have good support from your GP or maybe once you get linked in with a Parkinsons nurse you may want to discuss Advanced Care Planning.

Best wishes
