My ex was ready- he didn’t have any strength left to fight the fight - OT was time to go home to rest in God’s heaven.

God brought my ex home yesterday.

I got to see him again beforehand…..no words needed between us…..we just held hands and I told him I loved him and to save me a seat in heaven (something we used to say- that we’d want to be next to each in heaven, holding hands and just being quiet).

This site has helped me so much.

I send love and hugs to all - excuse my language - “PSP just sucks”.

Thinking of you, take your time to grieve at your own pace, it’s another difficult journey. Sending you lots of love xx

Such sweet and kind advice. I’m trying to be quiet and just reflect what I wished for us and what is reality.

Hi ConcerrnedEx!

I have been impressed by your words of love and courage.A big hug and luck.

So glad you were able to see him again, the support you have given him must have meant so much to him. Be kind to yourself now. Thinking of you xxx

The services are next week. Right now I’m just being quiet and staying to myself. I have no desire to be around others . My 92 year old mom is helping me the most- she just listens & sometimes that’s all people should do. Sometimes it’s not a dialogue but a monologue that’s needed.

I love that “grieve in your own way”……I hope everyone does that. I’m just quiet and away from people with my tears, and yes- some chuckles -‘s my memories. Heartfelt thanks for your and everyone’s words.

My ex was very a very religious man. Our last visit I wrapped his hands in rosary beads and played Christmas songs. It was beautiful.

My ex was a quality human- kind, considerate, religious…..yes, we broke up but for personal reasons….there was always love between us.

Appreciate you (and all taking the time to reply).

I am shocked after reading these messages and the replies.I appreciate and admire the organizational skills of this group of British and English-speaking people to support each other tenaciously in achieving relief for PSP patients and their carergivers. You are a beautiful example of solidarity.

The attitude and comments on the particular case of "ConcernedEx" bring to light the great human quality behind this chat.

With my appreciation and thanks, a big hug to everyone.

You’re so right- this site is pure goodness in humanity every sense. When no one else quote understands, this site brings comfort - letting people know “they are understood and it’s ok with whatever you’re feeling”.

When all is set and done- done we all want to be understood?

I attended courses for caregivers and I was able to perceive that only people who have passed as patients or caregivers can understand the feelings, situations and thoughts that these diseases bring with them. In the group of caregivers I attended, they spoke of intimate and profound things that were not raised outside of that group that, even today, continues to hold us together.Hugs and luck.

The emotional and physical pain is so hard.

JaydeeGee in reply to ConcernedEx

I know how difficult the emotional and physical pain is. Are you a believer of (GOD) or a higher power? If you are, prayer is always of help. I will pray for you that the emotional and physical pain is taken from you.

Many blessings to you.

I do understand how difficult things are right now. I also know that in difficult times our belief and trust in God can be tried. I hope and I pray that God enlightens your mind and you can be relieved of the emotional and physical pain.
