Coughing/choking

Thanks to all who wrote with help for my John’s coughing & choking problems. Have made another appt. to see speech doc. Thank you all your advice is so appreciated.

My mother is suffering choking and swallowing problems its very frightening but sounds like everyone has already given you fantastic advise. The thickening solution was good and not flavoursome so fine in even water which helped and sounds a bit obvious but if it happens whilst eating make sure he has a good posture, my mother always seemed to be slumped a little but a cushion behind her back helped.
