More spring.

This from a short while ago. Everything is so early. These are blood roots. They flower very early in spring.

These are beautiful. I haven't seen these in the northwest. Everything is coming up early here too. The roses started budding early so I was late in cutting them down. Did it anyway, cutting lots of buds off. We'll see how many blooms I get this year.

Gardening is good for us. Even digging in the dirt for just a bit gives me peace...and some fresh air. Staying home and isolating from the virus situation does have its benefits. I'm rather enjoying sticking close to home, taking care of things. I may go out today to do more deadheading of the hydrangeas.

This spring is very bitter sweet. I planted 200 species crocus plus 80 assorted daffodils and 80 sun chaser tulips out the kitchen window to look at when Larry had gone into respite care. It turned into his memorial garden.
