Coming downstairs this morning Larry said he had to pee this first thing. He had been up since 3 when I took him down. Got him up from his chair pulled his pants down and I to the bottle. Nothing happened except he farted. An hour later he wanted to pee again. Pants down, no results. Getting ready to go upstairs to get cleaned up his bathrobe fell open and he had a big blob of brown on his knee. Hoped it was the Nutella he was eating for breakfast. It wasn’t.

Up to the bathroom. Taking the robe off he had shit on both knees and his butt. Some of the shit fell off along the way and I had stepped in it tracking it around. Had to clean my shoe before I got to him. Shit kept showing up everywhere as I backtracked through the house. Think Hansel and Gretel only with shit. What a wonderful way to start the day. The upside is he probably won’t shit again today.

Not at good way to start the day. Have you tried adult Depends or something similar? They won't stop mother nature but hopefully keep it contained better.

He is in pull up,disposable underwear. I pulled them down for him to pee. The rest he did on his own.

When this happens here, I tell myself, "Well, the good news is at least he is not constipated."

in reply to Christine47

Me too. I would rather he keep it in his pants until we get to the bathroom.

Oh Jeff this brought back memories the expression a little goes a long way!!! Such a lot of extra work for you, but I love that you can find an upside!

My hubby often had problems starting to pee we tried running water and massaging his lower tummy, whistling, drugs nothing except the Accupuncture helped.

Look after yourself

Oh Jeff. The bread crumb version of Hansel and Gretel is so much better. This sounds like a bad joke but I'm glad you can find the silver lining. I hope the rest of your day is filled with good things. Keep up the sense of humor - we all need it!

Oh Jeff, the things we never thought we would have to do, this definitely is one of the worst. So glad you can still smile about it, indeed if we can’t laugh a little it would be heart breaking. Hope the rest of the day was better.

Hugs

He’s been all over the place today. I expect the night to not go well.

Sadly, it sounds a little familiar to me. You made my day by giving me a good laugh. Sometimes it all gets overwhelming . Best of luck to you and LArry. 💙

At least I had a fairly good night’s sleep for a change. That helped.

It's so great to be able to offload (you, not Larry!) to one another, knowing we will defo find sympathetic and understanding friends dealing with pretty much the same c*ap!

Hope tomorrow starts better. Just been wrestling with my beloved trying to get the nighttime nappy off. He's really is struggling to raise even his bottom off the bed this morning, poor darling.

So many of us can identify with this and even with pads/pants they can only contain so much and as you say you think you've cleared it up and then find some more. Hope you have a better day today :)

The rest of the day was uneventful.

Had something similar happen. Got W undressed in bedroom, walked him to shower and got him seated. Then saw the poo oozing from shower seat. Got him to stand holding on to grab rail and it kept coming. After cleaning shower and then him I discovered poo on ensuite and bedroom floors. More cleaning up. Thank goodness I dont have carpet.

As you say, a great start to the day. 🐚

Lots of love, Nanny857 xx

oh, heavens. I started telling my own story and got lost in the crowd of memories. The things we do for love. Yikes, it was awful sometimes! You just can't explain it to anyone who hasn't done it. My sympathies, Jeff. Good thing I don't care for Nutella. That might have put me off it!

It’s been a very eventful week if you know what I mean. Stopped all the laxatives and stool softeners.
