Pure joy here! We have checked off the bucket list to meet Goofy!! Bless her heart, her smile makes my heart explode. Several times, Mom has managed to verbalize that she never ever thought she would see Disney World in her life .... one is never too old for a Disney experience.
I might add ... this isn’t your typical visit, where we ran around the park all day —- that was not the case. Mom gets tired ... so we pre-arranged her personal experience with some of her favorite characters! We were able to experience several incredible moments, Disney style.

I'm always waiting in the wings to see what you are going to come up with next, Kim. None of us are ever too old for a bit of magic. Just incredible what you are doing for your mum - her smile says it all and long may you reap the reward of that smile.
My son LOVED Disneyland. He had an unrestricted season pass which included parking. There were no blackout dates. I have tons of photos with him and different Disney characters. In addition, it was our family custom that each Friday, after Thanksgiving ,all the family that had gathered for Thanksgiving went for the entire day to Disneyland.
As Bob Hope use to say, "Thanks for the memories".
I'm glad you and your mother were able to feel the magic of Disney. I retired from Walt Disney World last year because of this dreaded disease. Please post any more magical moments you found.
It was pretty magical! I’ve been looking at the Disney cruises - we took our children when they were young, and it was a great experience - I think cruising is the perfect vacation for us — I just don’t know if I’m up with navigating with an increase volume of children on Disney - (that sounds bad when I read that - but I’m sure you know what I mean) Momma loves children! We are going on a cruise next month - so looking forward to that.
I would check further into the Disney Cruises with the children. Disney has separate areas on the ships for children to enjoy themselves and even separate them among age groups. Parents are given a pager like device that is used when the child is finished or in need of their parent. Of course they can all come together for meals or other times as the parent desires.
Oh it is in the same League. At Walt Disney World we would sometimes have "The Boss" Mickey come by backstage to help celebrate milestones and recognitions. Though I've always been a Goofy and Piglet lover, It made my day when he showed up!
