Grateful Heart in offering Independence

A wonderful good morning smile — Oh the independence she feels when she can feed herself. Small fork that just fits her challenged left hand, and she can go at her own pace.

We take so much for granted. Mom has experienced great loss in so many ways — but still the core of her personality shines through.

I am very aware that I have a very special human here — If you knew Mom in earlier years, you know her heart — kindness always. Never a complaint, and always a listening ear. If she could speak now, I know she would find the silver lining in all that she has. She is quite remarkable.

—- grateful heart here.

I don't visit this site often now, but from your titles I always seem to know it's you writing, and I love to see your posts.Your mum has a great heart indeed - it is written on her face and in her daughter! It is a wonderful thing to be in that place of peace where, in your weakness you are made strong.

God bless you both always.

Hi Juliet!! Thank you for your kind words — we are indeed relishing the peace and joy as we navigate each day. I whisper affirmations to Momma every day — And we are incredibly thankful for mercy and grace every day. ((Hugs))

It is a journey that none of us could imagine in years past, but here we are — death came quickly for my father, and so we take this journey and cherish each day that is given. Today is a hard day, and so this disease raises its ugly bead, but I hold her close and remind her that I will

Be with her each step of the way. Finding the silver lining some how. 🥰

Wonderful as always!! I have made some adaptive changes suggested by OT to help my husband continue to feed himself , doing well so far. I'd be happy to share if you think it might help.
