Got a phone call from Social Worker today confirming I am getting 3hrs day sitting (2 days a week) and 1 night sit, starting 16 July. Can't believe I've got free time to myself. Now to think of what I'm going to do with it. 🤔🤔 Love to everyone ❤ Nanny857xx

Good News Today
Excellent news , well done , it will make a huge difference and once you are in the system you can ask for more and don’t forget Marie Currie .
Love Georgepa
I’m so pleased to hear your good news. I spent my ‘sit’ times with people who made me laugh and it was good going back and telling Colin the funny things they told me. Being with him so many hours a day it was sometimes a job keeping one sided conversation alive but seeing friends there was always something interesting to tell him.
Enjoy your time of freedom and do something that’s fun for you.

I agree with you on the one sided conversation.
I use to go out on my bike with my uncle (he's more like a brother as he's only 18months older than me) We would stop off for a coffee/lunch and he always has plenty of stories to tell, so looking forward to doing this again and re telling them to W. Lots of love Marion xx
That s great news, to get a bit of me to.e , it's much needed. Enjoy. You will still be watching the time when you go out, especially when shop. Don't forget to treat yourself to a beauty treatments or meeting up with friends for a coffee.
That is wonderful news. Those little breathing spaces and being able to sleep at least one night per week will make such a difference. Absolutely agree with what NannaB and Trilo say do something nice for yourself be it exercise, beauty, catching up with friends. A little bit of you time is so very important

Great news. It is a life saver. Agree you must have some treats. Love from Jean x xx
So happy for you, enjoy you breaks and do what ever makes you happy, you so deserve it, so pleased you have at least got a night sit, agree with George you are in the system, you will be able to ask for more night sits. I remember saying to George I need to sleep to be able to function the next day, really pleased for you. Sending you a massive hug. Yvonne xxxxx
Great news for you, I didn't have a night sitter as Ben was pretty good at night but I did always sleep on the sofa in the next room just in case. Other than that I only had a two hour sitter which I used for a yoga class and Ben went to hospice daycare once a week and this is the day I left to do as I pleased. It's such a relief to get down time and get to see friends knowing that your loved one is being cared for safely. Enjoy your free time it's a life saver.
Love Kate xxx

Time to start planning outings?
Thanks Kevin. Planning to catch up with friends I haven't seen for a long time☕, some exercise in the fresh air on my 🚴♀️ and of course a little bit of shopping 🎁🎁. Love to you and Liz, never far from my thoughts. xx
Great news, be strict with yourself and make sure me time = treat time and don't let it get eaten up by chores. Lets hope we get some nice summer weather you can get out & enjoy. :)
Hi Nanny857
That is great news for you to be able to do whatever you want to.
Love and hugs

Fab news. Don’t think anyone on this site doesn’t appreciate e effort it takes just to get any decent level of support. Sleep is so important to function well. Enjoy your down time. Do exactly what you want. Best thing is when you get back home you’ll be so much more able to deal with Colin as your head will e in a better place
Carers need support too. Something the majority of people don’t appreciate
Take care

Thanks Caz. xx
