Morning everyone. I am looking for some recommendations on where to holiday. I am going to be quite specific so you may not be able to help as I know people from across the world comment on here. My husbands mobility is very poor almost non existent. I would like to take him away for weekends but would like somewhere quite local ish. We live in Birmingham in the UK so didn’t want to drive for hours to somewhere as I think craig would struggle. Somewhere 1- 2 hours away he could manage. I have emailed a few places but if anyone knows of anywhere that would be suitable for us especially for Craig x

Hi, there is a website disability holidays.com, they cover the UK and abroad, you might find something there. Good luck, hope you get that holiday. XX

I hope you are getting on ok, we really must get together as you live so close to me, I have a busy couple of weeks as it the end of my school year and my dad is having an op but maybe sometime over the summer we could get together. Yes Sarah we need to. Life is so busy. Craig goes to Marie Curie on a Monday when he is well, I am trying to book a Monday off work every 5/6 weeks so maybe could meet up then. I will keep you updated. Hope you are ok. Take care xx

Unicorn2022, we have recently booked a five daybreak with "disability holidays, there website is good you can choose what part of England you want, and it will list disability cottages, homes or B&B in the area, or of course you can ring them tell them your exact needs and they will find you several choices. We,o like you need somewhere close to home I say approx 45minutes from Bristol either way, we usually land up in Somerset, twice a year I book and take our family with us, we haven't had a bad holiday yet. The girls at the office are so helpful and patient. Hope you find somewhere soon, our next break is The end of July, we so need the break, best regards Jean😎😎

Hi there

I see you're in Bristol, we're not that far away on the edge of the Cotswolds, it's a small world!

Hugs x

Yes, were about 1.1/2 hours away, my sister actually lives in that beautiful place, stow on the wold, and we have visited all the surrounding areas like Bourton on the water etc, unfortunately, it is too far for John to travel anymore. I rely on home help, so I can visit once in a blue moon.

Sending very best wishes, Jean 🙋

We're in Tetbury, so about 3/4 hour from Bristol. I must admit apart from hospital appointments in Gloucester we don't get out and about so much these days. I have carers in daily to help and book extra hours so I can get some R&R.

So we keep on keeping on.

Hugs

Oh yes we have stopped in Tetbury many times it's our mid way coffee break stop, love walking around there too, you have great shops. My sisters (from s.o.t.wold), son is getting married in August in Chipping Camden, which I am really hoping to go to, but I will have to take a lift from family who are going from Bristol, and they are all going for two nights, I will struggle to leave John for that long, I will leave it to the last minute, to see how he is at the time, right now that's not good. Fingers crossed.

Agree with you we must keep keeping on, which all of us here on the blog all understand, couldn't cope without you all.😍💕
