Sunday afternoon drive

Yesterday was a beautiful day for a ride! I took my Mom down memory lane and visited some of the special places she enjoyed with Dad My Dad loved taking a ride just about everyday; they would go all over the place.

As we would drive around (she’s very quiet these days), she would look at me and smile, and begin sharing a memory - it takes a bit of time as she tries to find her words, I miss our long conversations. Sidebar: I find that when I have her read a book aloud, I get to hear her voice so clearly - we work on volume and enunciation.

Letting the wind blow through our hair, and breathing in the smell of Spring ... Feeling blessed.
