Dogs are not our whole life, but they make our life whole! Although Sam is part of our family, I think having a dog visit brings out something super special. Mom gets a special spark every time Sam walks in her room to visit.

A good trained dog has been shown to be a positive influence in so many cases. The last article I read on the matter was people who are around dogs tend to have lower blood pressure.

Latest research shows that owner has greater influence over dog than dog over owner.
What a lovely giant Sam is! He’s listening so patiently. What a character! 😍 Great photo!
Lovely photo and I agree about dogs being therapeutic x
I am planning to get our dog registered as a Pet Therapy dog. She was a big hit when Mum was an inpatient at the hospice last year with patients and staff. The nurses suggested to me Amber would make a great Therapy dog. This post has prompted me to put that into action. thank you.
Our dog Amber is my angel. She has helped me so much through very tough times. Mum loved her and even though couldn't stroke her enjoyed her doing funny things and lying by her bed all night. She always wanted to hear what she had got up to on walks etc.
Animals are amazing.
I agree I think that would be a great idea .
I'm so glad you have Amber to help you get through you've had such a tough time.
My little dog is my angel.
Sending love and hugs and hoping that life is treating you kindly

Must be that soulful, straight look of absolute adoration he gives her!!!
Sam is like her assistance dog, trained or not; he may not have ability to help physically, but he is wholeheartedly on your mum's side!
Hugs

I was considering getting a dog for Tilie.
She is not a person who pets a dog, but she took good care of our dogs when needed.
Any suggestions?
Without a doubt. We have one dog now - a Golden Retriever named River (my autistic son's), who is a fully accredited service dog. He goes above and beyond his training and provides great comfort to me.

Wonderful picture. Sam looks like he’s trying to remember everything your Mom seems to be telling him.
My husband has always had a way with animals. They are good company. The dogs and cat love him. Since his CBD diagnosis, though, the parrot has to spend most of his time in the cage. Otherwise he will chase hubby through the kitchen and unfortunately George can’t move very fast these days. They’ve always had a turbulent relationship, but now hubby can’t outrun him.
