Well, actually a couple of weeks. Chris has decided he is able to do things ha hasn't done for months. So when Waitrose rang the door in Good Friday, he decided to answer it. I came in from the garden to find him and his indoor chair in a bloodied heap. A friend dealt with Waitrose whilst I dealt with him. A quick trip to MIU in Cirencester to be stapled back together then Easter proceeded with no further incident. Then on Easter Tuesday he decided to get a new Conveen out of the cupboard. He got the box out then fell, I found him on the floor at 6:30 am having slept though his shenanigans. Three more falls followed on Friday and Saturday, the reason for these then became obvious, he had a raging UTI. So he started antib's on Monday but by Wednesday had to be catheterised which sadly ended with complications. Our Doctor eventually managed to sort him out and we avoided a trip to A & E.
Thursday morning Chris started to choke at 10am, the Doc was here within five minutes of my call and reassured us that Chris's lungs were not congested. This episode subsided over the following hours and he was able to have some soft food in the afternoon. All rather scary.
We have either seen or spoken to our wonderful Doctor everyday this week and the District Nurses have been wonderful too.
We are blessed to be so well supported by the NHS and our local medical team and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.
Oh, I forgot to mention that whilst all this was going on, the builders have been in converting the bathroom into a wet room.
So that was a week, that was!
Hugs

You can never say life with PSP is boring, eventful yes, but boring, never!
Glad you both survived.
Sending big hug and much love
Lots of love

Oy! What a couple of weeks. Contractors on top of it all. The perfect storm to send you off the edge. Let hope peace descends for a period to give you time to recoup before the next assault.
Hi Anne it can get pretty out of hand at times, only advice I can give you is get him a helmet believe me it saves their heads from stitches and worse a brain bleed. Nettie
Omg , yes I totally understand this , as it's as if they think in their minds they're helping / or just acting like a naughty child, and he laughing after it all happens, I learnt after a few episodes to watch out for infections, poor you, it's hard hard work. My husband passed away Easter Sunday, RIP at the age of 65, it's really only hitting home now. Stay strong. X
Boy, does that bring back memories. We've been there, done that including the catheter and bathroom remodel. I can definitely empathize. Hope you're back to a calmer time.
Hi Anne, that was a very stressful couple of weeks. Hope things have settled down, Chris has had no more falls and your wet room is completed. It's great that you are being well supported by the NHS. Hope you were successful at your Art Society Spring Exhibition. Sending hugs, Nanny857 xx
All quiet on the Weston front for now. No more falls or infections and after a break whilst our plumber was on holiday wet room should be completed early next week, which will be good.
Exhibition went well, but I didn't sell, but only 17 pictures sold out of 150 odd, so not a problem. One of mine came second in best in show which was nice.
Congratulations, well done. I'm doing ok, good times and not so good times just like us all here. Daughter coming home in 2 weeks from Australia for 10 days to spend some time with her dad, so looking forward to that. Also hoping to get to the meet up in London in June as I haven't been able to get to any so far. I'm thinking of changing our bathroom into a wet room, but not looking forward to the disruption. ☹️ xx
