Good morning all. An up date about Charlie MSA, he has been seeing things outside that just aren’t there :( at the start of this week he was able to stand and walk with his walker. Now Thursday he said he couldn’t see and now he can’t sand at all what is happening? Is this how the end is? Why is god playing games.

Sudden downturns are often the result of a UTI, but the progression is different for everyone, as I'm sure you have heard, and this may be a new stage. My sweetheart's vision - or maybe more accurately his brain's ability to process the information from his eyes? - came and went erratically for a long time. Blind one minute, relatively normal vision the next. It frightened him, of course.

Is he running any sort of a fever?

No fever

Hi Marg

Mom's eyes played tricks on her too. So hard to understand the many changes of PSP & so frustrating & heartbreaking for everyone concerned.

Sending hugs... Granni B

It's difficult to say, it can be stemming from PSP, a combination of the paranoid thoughts that can emerge and the poor vision, and the not having control: this illness feels maddening to me! I am not sure I would cope with it, and I am a Psychotherapist and have done important inner work. When I see my mother with PSP, some of her symptoms show all the things she had not dealt with in life, returning with a vengeance! Also, when we are ready to leave this body, the veil between the worlds become thin, and we can witness immense disorientation, etc etc. I can only send my sympathy, waves of strength and prayers.
