Sunrise is beautiful today

My husband slept a little better the Dr gave him something for restless leg syndrome which has helped some. Yesterday was a bad day for him he seemed extremely confused...

Today is a new day, hopefully a day better than yesterday! I feel so defeated at times, but it is time to get on with life. I am going to list out what I need to do each week and start checking them off.

Wish I could get together with some of you who understand the challenges each of us face.

I too hope today is better than yesterday for you. If you click on “Home” , top left under the PSPA sign, you can go into your page and then click on “People near you”. If there is someone within easy reach you can private message them. I met up with several other carers when my husband was still alive and our friendship continues. It does help to be able to talk to others in a similar situation. I hope you find someone.

Good Morning Jubilee, and good luck with your new weekly plan.

I tried the 'people near you' function and for some reason there were no results - even though I know there were at least two or three in the Vancouver metro area. So it may be worth posting your location and asking if anyone is nearby?

I was fortunate enough to get a contact from a member who was passing through Vancouver airport (LostinHeadSpace) - even brief visits are great: they just make the bonds we develop on this site even more real 😊

Speaking of which...I should post a query as I'll be visiting Palm Springs soon....

Anne, when will you be in Palms Springs and for how long? On a good day (traffic) it is about a 3 hour drive. I had a girlfriend who had a house there, but has now moved to Park City.

If you are interested and it is mutually convenient maybe we could meet.

Blessings, Margarita

Hi Margarita! Is there a town half-way, more or less, between you and PS where we could meet for lunch? PM me...I'm also PM'ing with LostinHeadSpace...I was thinking of you actually!...got distracted with the storm & h'way travel conditions..but would love to make something work. I'm traveling today and out of data roaming range, but I'll check tonite when I get in 😄

Will PM you right now. I don't have a cell phone so only check my messages when I turn on the computer.

Being a carer is to feel defeated so often!!!

Great that you are working on staying organised. You come across as a caring sensitive person who is really rather strong too. Bravo.

You might like to say what State you are in. Folk can private message from there.

Just follow the internet rules: Don't give anyone you phone number or address, or full name. Meet in a public place.

Additionally you can check out if they are a real forum member by checking their posting history.

I hope you find a member close by.

If not we are here. :)

Having a plan helps to get the things sorted that are crucial to everyday living with psp, well done for trying to get your head around the organising that needs to be done. I do hope that somebody lives near enough to you so that you can make contact, does the US PSP site have the search facility to locate those living nearby? Keep on keeping on, it's all you can do, you will somehow get through this, hard as it is. Many of us are living proof of that!
