Hiccups

Has anyone else noticed hiccups in their PSP loved one? I have not been able to find anything online relating hiccups to PSP or general end of life. Dad makes repeated hiccup sounds every night when I’m visiting. He is eating very little and is kept somewhat upright when he does eat. The only other thing I can think of is maybe apnea, sucking in the big rush of air after a period of not moving air. Any thoughts or experiences?

I don't recall dad having hiccups like that. I'd mention it to his care team, maybe they have an answer.

Dear Tlovins

Interesting! My hubby gets episodes of hiccups which can last for 12-18 hours. He was diagnosed PSP 5 years ago and I recall prob 9-10 years ago he had hiccups for 3-4 days. Have never considered a link with PSP before !!
